A hair transplant is a surgical procedure used to treat hair loss, typically on the scalp, by relocating hair follicles from a donor site (usually the back or sides of the head) to areas where hair is thinning or balding. There are two primary methods of hair transplant:

  1. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation): In this technique, a strip of scalp is removed from the donor area, and individual follicular units are dissected and transplanted into small incisions in the recipient area.
  1. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction): FUE involves removing individual hair follicles directly from the donor site using a small punch tool, which are then implanted into the recipient area.

Both methods aim to restore hair growth by using healthy, permanent hair follicles, which continue to grow in their new location. Recovery time varies, but results generally appear within a few months as the transplanted hair grows in.
